Today was our first day of surfing. It was cold but we had wet suits on so it wasnt as cold. Our instructors were Boyd, Longie, Shane and Mark. Longie was my groups instructor. I had never actually gotten up on a board so I was looking forward to doing so. I caught a few waves but ended up body boarding to the end. About my 10th attempt I got up but the wave had past me. I think I now knew the technique of getting on. I then tried it again and I caught the wave. I was pretty happy. It was a great experience. As this was only a half session day I was looking forward to a big day tomorrow and hopefully surfing the waves with style!
Today I was looking forward to a whole day of surfing. I started off a bit rusty and the waves were huge so it was really hard to pick the right wave to surf on. After lunch I finally got the hang of it and I caught a good wave and had a good ride on my board. I then had about another 4 good rides. I love surfing now and I think I have got the basics pretty well. hopefully after tomorrow I will be pretty good and I can show my family how good I have got.
It was pretty windy on the morning and I had a huge rash on my neck but I was ready for surfing in the morning. It was actually perfect conditions as soon as we got their apart from the occasional thunderstorm. As we finally got out to surf I was pretty happy when I stood up the first 3 times. I then got a bit tired and couldn't stand up as much. About halfway through the instructor took us to the back where their were some huge waves. This was pretty fun. After that it was time to go. This was a great experience and I will definitely try and do more surfing in the near by future.

The brothers are back at home and life is getting back to normal. They are slow in the mornings and can be difficult. We saw some video of the parents weekend on Sunday night which we all enjoyed. The weather will be OK tomorrow but could change on Wednesday so surfing conditions may be mixed. Anyhow, hang five with the toes upon the nose. Big A
