September 4th 2009
Today wardli 2 and 3 volunteered to help out the disabled to plant trees. My first thoughts were what they were going to be like and how they would react to us, I soon found out when we got off the bus. They were actually really good. They were nice, friendly and helpful. Our job was to take old dirt out of pots and then put new dirt into them to help plant trees. My job was to take the dirty out. It was tiring and back breaking but I am sure that the chat of Jesse and Serah lightened everyones mood up. When lunch came we met new friendly people including Anthnony who is good to chat with, Gavin who never stops working and Ronald who is a big North Melbourne supporter and is really funny. After getting the dirt out of the pots I helped carry the new dirt put into the pots back in the green house. Once all was done we said goodbye to them all. In the end I felt really happy and proud that we had helped them because without our help they would have taked alot lot longer making the trees. I wouldnt mind helping out again as you made good friends and it was great fun.
